About Community Economic Ventures, (A Microfinance NGO) Inc. (CEVI)
Community Economic Ventures, Inc. (CEVI) was founded in 1998 in Bohol, Philippines. Originally established to support livelihood needs within families covered by the Area Development Program of World Vision Development Foundation (WVDF), CEVI began as a micro-enterprise development initiative aimed at providing dynamic and sustainable projects.
In 2000, CEVI was officially registered as a non-stock, non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) with the Securities and Exchange Commission. As a Christian organization, CEVI integrates values formation into its provision of financial and technical assistance, supporting micro-entrepreneurs engaged in trading, manufacturing, agriculture, and service-type businesses.
CEVI’s mission is to “serve the economically active poor by providing appropriate and quality microfinance products and services to help their business grow.” By offering alternatives to access credit, build up capital, and provide micro-insurance and savings, CEVI extends consultancy services and training through its Credit Plus Education Program, helping transform the lives of thousands of families.
CEVI is an accredited MFI-NGO by the Microfinance NGO Regulatory Council.
